First, I feel I should clarify. As my mom pointed out, employers might "jump" at the heading of my blog and take it seriously. But no, I'm not advertising that I'll work for free - just implying that I have to work for free for the next 10 months...boo.
Today I moved my things down to Grandma's. If anything, I completely forgot how insane the driving is.
My new room is nice and will be perfect for studying. Mind you, the "white room" now has a dose of baby blue from a new comforter. And when I say, "white room," I mean just that - WHITE.
Everything...
The walls...
The carpet...
The bed set and comforter...
The window shades....
The dresser...
The bed frame...
The decorations...
So, in other words, I might have an art project or two to add a splash of color. It took me about 3-4 hours to move everything in and put it away, all in the 90 degree weather. The entire time I was moving in, Grandma was outside, cleaning up the remnants in the yard from the squirrels eating nuts up in the trees.
Either way, I'm all moved in, but came back home for Labor Day weekend. Now, it's back to reading about leadership and making sure I'm aware that my "attitude is showing," thanks to books that are compliments of the internship. I'll have fun doing the reading while I watch "Diary of a Whimpy Kid" and eat a healthy home-made variation of wonton tacos.
On a last note, I'll be keeping a countdown until July 2nd, 2011, my graduation date from the internship! 306 days from today!
